Who is your favorite athlete?

Kale Thomson

If you’re not at the lawn bowling club, where can we find you?

At the University of Regina or working on woodworking and lighting projects for my hobby shop (Illuminations by Cooper & Watson)

How were you introduced to the sport of bowls?

My Aunt heard about Lawn bowling through a school newspaper and thought Jordan, Carter and I should give it a try.  She took us to the Regina Lawn Bowling Club one night and we had some great coaches introduce the sport to us (The Pituley Family).  All three of us loved it and joined right away.

What motivates you to succeed?

I have set goals over the years and as I accomplish them, it drives me to set higher goals and keep the momentum going.

What is your favourite bowls memory?

I have 2 favorites:
1.  The NAC in 2018 – My first international competition which allowed me to wear the maple leaf and represent Canada for the first time.  It was an amazing experience being able to play alongside such a great group of people.
2.  National Mixed Pairs 2017 – I played with my Aunt Lois and we had a terrible start to the tournament and fought our way back through the round robin (with me fighting a leg infection) and were able to get to the bronze medal game.  We had an incredible amount of support from everyone there and it is an experience that neither one of us will ever forget.
